Bright pink, acrylic paint pops off of this battered, antique serving tray, giving it new meaning. By juxtaposing a spunky, “unladylike” phrase onto a symbol of traditional and outdated gender roles, I make a fun and  bold statement about the evolution of woman.

Just a fun side note-this piece was inspired by a spirited woman I met at the 2017 Womans March in D.C. who was telling the women around her that they looked like ass kickers.
