Grandmothers, paisley wallpaper, and gold paint: a textbook trio if you ask me. This hand-painted, antique ironing board is one of four I created as apart of the thesis I explored during my year as York College of Pennsylvania’s Appell Fellow (read more). Here I focus on contrast—traditional and nontraditional, old and new, natural and synthetic—to comment on generational change.
